Bula, Batiki!

What a few weeks we have had! We have started making coconut oil and now have 160 litres to ship back to the UK.

As always, the villagers were fantastic. When we arrived in Batiki a few weeks ago we sat down with the villagers to discuss the aims of the coconut oil project, and how we hoped that we could use this first batch as a trial in our quest generate a sustainable income for them.

It has been a long few weeks but we are so proud of everything that the Island has achieved. Having such short notice each family has worked really hard to collect coconuts, husk and squeeze them to make their oil.

Now we are about to return back to the UK with the oil following, and we hope to be ready for sale soon and begin this venture!

Vinaka vakalevu (thank you very much)
