Coconuts are wonderful, wonderful things, with an origin shrouded in legend.
According to the Pacific tale of ‘Sina and the Eel’, the first coconut tree is said to have sprouted out of the sand after the Fijian king turned himself into a great eel and was later beheaded.
Here on Batiki, we have been using coconuts for many, many years. We use their husks to make bowls, their milk to sweeten our soups, and of course, their oil to make Bula Batiki’s famous coconut oil.
