Hand-made coconut oil from the 300 villagers of Batiki Island, Fiji.
We use all of the proceeds from the sale of our coconut oil to fund Batiki’s long-term development and enable healthcare, educational, and organic farming initiatives on the island.
One hundred percent virgin coconut oil gifted to us by the ripened coconuts of the ‘vu ni niu’ (coconut palms) that are scattered across Batiki.
The coconuts are collected, and then six are chosen and cracked open. We then squeeze the oil out of each coconut using a method called ‘cold-pressing’.
Our jars are then packaged up, and posted all over the world, straight from the island—a little pot of Fiji for you to enjoy!
Our home, Batiki, is a remote tropical island off the Eastern coast of Fiji’s mainland.
Batiki wakes us up gently each morning to a dawn chorus of Pacific Kingfishers, Fiji Parrotfinches, and Fan-tailed Cuckoos, underlaid by the lapping waves of the South Pacific Ocean.
Batiki is known for its fertile volcanic soil, which is one of the reasons why our island is blanketed with the many coconut palms that give us our jars of coconut oil!
Bula Batiki Coconut Oil has so many benefits! Not only does our coconut oil help develop our little island, but it also has many benefits that help you lead a healthy life!
For instance—when used properly—coconut oil can act as a light moisturiser, a mild sunscreen, or even to improve dental health using a method called ‘oil pulling’.
